Well, 469 miles later and we have completed the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had a great time! The overcast was challenging at times when you disappear into the clouds but the less than ideal weather kept the road empty. We had no traffic to contend with and had this magnificent true “American Road” to ourselves.
After lunch in Waynesboro,VA and some minor bike repairs on Dave’s bike we decided to bypass the trip through DC and head straight to York to the HD Factory. About 120 miles out in Luray,VA Bates bike lost engine power. We started trouble shooting it and it lead us to some type electrical problem We got it going , so off we left. 40 miles later the trouble reappeared so we stopped and bought new spark to no avail. After talking with Adam Garley, the ECM became suspect. We found a hotel a few miles from Winchester VA Harley and plan on being there at 8am to try and get some help. The plan is still to go to York for the Factory open house then head home.
