Well, we knew it was going to be in the upper 90’s in DFW so we made a command decision to get up and go. That is unusual, since there is no such thing as get up and go early with Bates so it was new territory for me. We packed and left and were on the road at 6AM. Took a new route home. Stopped in Idabel, OK for breakfast at the “Gemini”. We could not find anywhere to eat so I saw a deputy sheriff and he told us about the”Gemini” we ate quick and hit the road. We were treated to some nice sweeping roads, HY 37 in Oklahoma and 195 into Paris Texas were great. Hit 121 and we were home at 11:20! So 262 miles today for a total of 1038 miles for the trip! Glad to be home but miss the riding! E misses the motels and desert!
