After much angst, we decided losing several days will make all the places we wanted to see and distance we wanted to cover unattainable. So we pulled the plug and Bates has come up with a new route. The NEB did not beat us, just made us realize that any trip of that magnitude needs a little more bike TLC and prep to insure it’s ready to travel hard. We may not have done our due diligence in making sure the service we were getting was to HD specs, that’s our mistake……
